The club's Charity Research
Committee researches and interviews potential beneficiaries. This process
often allows charities that might go unrecognized to prosper from our
resources. This committee is responsible for selecting charity
organizations for our two major fundraisers:
Monte Carlo in November and Crab Feed in
March.
Proceeds from such events go in to the Active 20-30
#1032 Benevolent Fund. This fund acts as a "foundation" to be distributed
to deserving charities that benefit many children in the Sacramento area.
In the past, donations have been given to organizations such as Saddle
Pals Therapeutic Horsemanship Center, Diogenes Youth Services, Sacramento
Children's Home, and many other worthy organizations mentioned below. To

In addition to fundraising, many Club members
volunteer their time for hands-on projects,
such as preparing and serving dinner at St. John's Shelter for Women and
Children, helping children shop for school clothes at Child Spree, acting
as Santa and his elves for Christmas Promise, and staffing other charity
events.
